For the past several years, the Sweetwater Union High School District has sold surplus/obsolete items via the internet in partnership with Interschola. The Sweetwater Union High School District herby notifies the local community of its intention to apply to the California Department of Education for 21st Century Community Learning Centers After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens.

The application is due to the California Department of Education by December 12, 2013. We also take this opportunity to inform private schools, faith based organizations, and community based organizations of our intent to promote the implementation of safe, accessible academic, enrichment, and family literacy programs in the districts and schools noted above. Three-Year Tentative Agreement Includes Salary Increase and Health Benefits 

Negotiators for the Sweetwater Union High School District and its California School Employees Association (CSEA) union have reached a three-year tentative agreement that includes two-key proposals: Wages and Health and Welfare Benefits.

The agreement with wage enhancements is as follows:

• 1.56% increase Year 1 (effective 1/1/14)
• 1.80% increase Year 2 (effective 7/1/14)
• 2.20% increase Year 3 (effective 7/1/15)
